Insomnium puts together some pretty wild story based albums, and Anno 1696 is the latest done in that format. In this video I review two options: the 2x LP of the album and then the art book with 2 CDs of the album. Oddly, the art book also has additional songs.
The 2x LP version of the album is stunning in and of itself. As you can see in this image below of the inlay of the record with the lyrics and art pieces in the album.
In addition to the two records themselves, there’s what I myself would call an art book too, that comes with this version of the album.
That said, in any version you get, you’re going to get much of the art in some way, form, or manner.
The 2 CD album officially called an “Art Book” looks like this, with the 2 CDs available inside the front of the book.
